Clearview Farm Summer Camp

Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced rider, day camp is available for all ages and riding levels. Use our well-trained dressage and event horses or bring your own. For 2010, Clearview Farm is home of the Girl Scouts ( Camp Pennacook) in receiving their Horsemanship badge. Dates for the Girl Scouts are : July 19-23 & Aug 2-6. Additional camp weeks will be offered throughout July and August. The cost is $600 per week. Other arrangements can be made for half-day sessions, one day only, and a half-day only. Please call for more details. Space is limited, so sign up early. A $100 deposit will be required to hold your reservation. 	Camp offers: Hands on: Horse Management and Safety Riding Lessons (approximately 2 hours per day) Show Preparation (bathing, braiding, leg-wrapping) Horse Show on Friday Classroom Activities: Anatomy of a Horse (basic) Parts of the Tack and Equipment Equine-Related Arts & Crafts
On Friday, there is a small horse show where students can show off what they learned. Ribbons are awarded to all students. Also, an award is given to the "camper of the week." Students' scores are based on most improved rider, quiz score on classroom knowledge, and basic horsemanship.
